Cycloserine
General properties
Drugs affecting mycobacterials. Drugs for treatment of tuberculosis. Antibiotics. Cycloserine.
Active pulmonic and extrapulmonary tuberculosis: the medication is administered in combination therapy provided that microorganisms are sensitive to Cycloserine and after ineffective treatment with basic drugs (used only as a second-line medicine).
Acute urinary tract infections caused by sensitive microorganisms: the drug is used only if basic therapy was ineffective and if the microorganisms sensitivity to Cycloserine was determined.
Hypersensitivity to cycloserine or other components of the drug. Organic diseases of the central nervous system, depression, psychiatric disorders, evident anxiety or psychosis, epilepsy, susceptibility to convulsive attacks, previous history of mental disorders, severe renal failure, heart failure, alcohol dependence.
Pharmaceutical characteristics
Hard gelatine capsules of cylindrical form with white opaque body and blue opaque cap filled with powder of white to light yellow color.
Store in the original packaging at temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
