ACE inhibitors. Enalapril.
Therapeutic indications
- Treatment of arterial hypertension.
- Treatment of symptomatic heart failure.
- Prevention of symptomatic heart failure in patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction £ 35%).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to enalapril, to any excipients and to any other ACE inhibitor. Presence in anamnesis of of angioedema associated with the use of ACE inhibitors. Hereditary or idiopathic angioedema. Enalapril should not be used with medications containing aliskiren, by patients with diabetes or impaired kidney function (GFR <60 mL / min / 1.73 m2). Pregnant women or women who plan to become pregnant (see."Pregnancy and breast-feeding" section).
