Nifedipine
General properties
Selective calcium antagonists with predominant effect on the blood vessels. Dihydropyridine derivatives.
- Arterial hypertension; Coronary heart disease: chronic stable angina, vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal angina).
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any component of the drug; hypersensitivity to other dihydropyridines; cardiogenic shock; aortic stenosis, severe; porphyria; state during myocardial infarction or during a month after it; secondary prevention of myocardial infarction; combination with rifampicin (due to the inability to achieve effective levels of nifedipine in the plasma as a result of enzyme induction); unstable angina; inflammatory bowel disease or Crohn's disease.
Pharmaceutical characteristics
Round-shaped tablets, coated, yellow upper and lower surfaces are convex. At the break when viewed under a microscope can see a core surrounded by one continuous layer.
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
Keep out of the reach of children.
