Antivirals for systemic use. Antiviral medication of direct action. Acyclovir.
Therapeutic indications
- The treatment of viral infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by the herpes simplex virus, including initial and recurrent genital herpes;
- Suppression (prevention of recurrences) of infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in patients with normal immune systems;
- Prevention of infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in immunocompromised patients;
- Treatment of infections caused by the virus Varicella zoster (chickenpox and shingles).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Acyclovir,valacyclovir or to other components of the preparation.
