Glibenclamide
General properties
Hypoglycemic drugs, with the exception of insulin. Sulfonamides, sulfonylureas. Glibenclamide.
Non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus type II (adult diabetes), if the appropriate diet and physical activity metabolism is not compensated and if there is no need for insulin therapy.
With insulin-independent diabetes mellitus type I; at prekome or diabetic coma; decompensation of diabetes in infectious diseases and during surgery, as well as with pancreas resection; severe disorders of liver and kidney function; decreased renal function with creatinine clearance below 30 ml / min; known hypersensitivity to glibenclamide or to one of the other ingredients of the preparation. Hypersensitivity to other drugs of sulfonylurea, to sulfonamides, diuretics, sulfonamide derivatives and to probenecid. Complete secondary ineffectiveness of therapy with glibenclamide in type II diabetes, metabolism with a tendency to acidosis. Use with the preparation bosentan.
Pharmaceutical characteristics
Single-layer tablets of round shape, with flat top and bottom surfaces, with bevelled edges and stroke, from light blue to blue. On the surface of the tablets, inclusions are allowed. A relatively homogeneous structure is visible on the fault under the magnifying glass.
Store in original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of the reach of children.
