Medications that are applied for functional gastrointestinal disorders. Drotaverine.
Therapeutic indications
- Smooth muscles spasm associated with diseases of the biliary tract: cholecystolithiasis, cholangiolithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, papillitis;
- Spasms of smooth muscles in diseases of the urinary tract: nephrolithiasis, uretrolitiaze, pyelitis, cystitis, bladder tenesmus.
As an auxiliary treatment for (if application of the drug in tablets is impossible):
-
spasms of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, cardio and/or pilorospasm, enteritis, colitis, spastic colitis
- gynecological diseases (dysmenorrhea).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Drotaverine or to any component of the drug (especiallly to metabisulphite). Severe hepatic, renal or cardiac failure (low cardiac output syndrome).
