Medications that are applied for functional disorders of the digestive tract. Papaverine and its derivatives.
Therapeutic indications
- Pasms of smooth muscles of the abdominal cavity (pilorospasm, irritable bowel syndrome, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis attacks);
- spasms of the urinary tract, renal colic;
- cerebral vasospasm;
- peripheral vascular spasm (endarteritis).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, hypotension, disturbance of atrioventricular conduction, coma, respiratory depression, concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors; glaucoma, liver failure, bronchial obstruction, the patient's age over 75 years (the risk of hyperthermia).
